Sri Padaleswarar Temple - Aridwaramangalam
This Padaleswarar temple is situated in the Village of Aridwaramangalam in Tiruvarur district. This is one of the thevaram padal sthalam. This is one of the Panja Araniya thalam ( vanni vanam). one of few temples where shiva and vishnu coexist,with a legend that vishnu, in his boar form,searched for Shiva underground before his wedding with parvathi. hence the name "Haridwara"(Hari=vishnu,Dwara=pit).
