Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple- Vadapalli
This is the most historical, famous temple of Sri Venkateswara in East Godavari District. Vadapalli is on the bank of river Gowthami. Now a days Vanapalli is famous and known as Kona seema Tirupati.
History: this temple once many saints, sanaka and sanandana etc, visited Lord Sri Maha Vishnu in Vaikuntham. They requested Lord to establish Dharma and save people in Kaliyuga. Then Sri Maha Vishnu promised that he will appear in a chandana box in Gowthami River. After many years people of Vadapalli found a chandana box in Holy Gowthami river. Then the villagers took a scared bath in river gowthami and brought the box out to shore. They found a beautiful chandana statue of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
