Sri Subramaniyar Temple- Thiruvidaikkazhi
The Subramaniya Swamy Temple (popularly known as the Thiruvidaikazhi Murugan Temple) is an ancient Hindu temple located in the village of Thiruvidaikazhi, Mayiladuthurai district, Tamil Nadu. Known historically as the "Thiruchendur of Chola Naadu," it is highly regarded for its profound spiritual energy and unique architectural layout.
This shrine is exceptionally rare because Lord Murugan and Lord Shiva are housed within the same sanctum sanctorum (Garbhagriha). Lord Murugan stands in the front, while a Shiva Lingam (known as Papavinasa Peruman) sits directly behind him.
